Lately, Mother Nature seems to be in a mighty fine mood around here … the wind hasn’t howled much, the snow hasn’t trapped me down my long driveway, and the cold hasn’t tried to break my pipes.  And even better, February has arrived, and I am told by many with more winters near Babb than I have known that February is generally sunny and bright.  Cold, but sparkly.  Recent evidence in support of this happy proposition:

Dawn was so pleased with itself this morning that it was tickled pink.

Last night’s sunset from Chief Mountain overlook.

Thank you, Mother Nature, for being gentle with me during my first full winter near Babb.
