There is so much going on with Glacier County Honey that I can’t wait to share with y’all!
Famous Dave’s BBQ in Missoula and Kalispell picked up our honey for use in their kitchens and for sale in their shops. We collaborated with Bon Lemon on another bee-autiful piece of jewelry – one that’s made in the USA, we’re proud to add! Our dear artist friends in Great Falls created new molds for the coolest beeswax Christmas ornaments you’ve ever seen – we’re talking Babb, Glacier and Yellowstone themed. And, as y’all know, we finished up our comb honey harvest last week.
Whew! So we’ve got a lot of pictures to take and add to glaciercountyhoney.com.
While we’re working, leave a comment telling us what you’d like to see us offer on the website – beeswax soap? more jewelry? children’s books on bees? – and you’ll be entered to win this spooktacular gift basket I threw together last night. It contains 3 pounds of the best honey you’ve never tasted, a block of beeswax, and a Glacier County Honey Co. tshirt – you pick the size. Just comment, and we’ll announce the lucky winner on tomorrow’s blog! Good luck!
COMMENTS WILL CLOSE AT MIDNIGHT, MOUNTAIN STANDARD TIME, TONIGHT, MONDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2011.

Congratulations! You guys are so amazing! Honeycomb candles, lip balm, and lotion. Mmm.
October 24, 2011 at 10:09 am
Courtney with your writing skills, you have to do a children’s book. Also, I have the cutest little picture frame with my grandson’s ultra sound photo with the caption “Baby-to-Bee” with a cute little honey bee next to the caption. I always think of you all when I look at it. I love it. You could add your own take on that one.

More jewlery of course! and I say you try your hand at making Glacier honey chapstick or body loition:)
October 24, 2011 at 10:16 am
I definitely think that honey infused body care products would be just wonderful. More ornament designs as well (My mom loves them!)
October 24, 2011 at 10:17 am
Definately the soap, and chapstick too!
October 24, 2011 at 10:27 am
I love the honey-infused body products idea. And Becky’s right, you should write a children’s book (or a dozen!). How about a beeswax-themed picture frame. “Bee my honey!” “Baby Bee” “Grandmother’s little Bee-bug”
The color and appearance of a honeycomb, with bees, of course!

I cast my vote with the soap. I just finished a locally made bar of soap called Queen Bee, and it smelled so wonderfully of honey that I was kind of afraid to use it prior to tending to my bees! Not only does it make me smell great but so does the bathroom. Can’t wait to see the new beeswax ornaments, as I think something new and unusual will really set you apart from the standard bears, hives and pinecones (not that those aren’t great!). And by the way, I’m loving the comb honey!!

I love the idea of a children’s book about bees! Congratulations for getting your honey into Famous Daves
Dawn 🙂

Thanks T!
October 24, 2011 at 11:21 am
Love the idea of Bee books for kids!! = )
October 24, 2011 at 11:26 am
I agree with posts above. You should definitely write some children’s books with Maggie Rose as the leading lady! Lip balm is always good too!
October 24, 2011 at 11:26 am
Honey candy and honey throat lozenges, logo hats – summer and winer in several colors, more clothing colors ( I LOVE my hooded sweatshirt….I lived in it last winter), honey infused lotion, honey bath salts, curio drawers or any small furniture item made from retired hives (don’t know enough about that to know if it would still be sticky years later?!?), rock candy honey sticks, prepackaged honey cornbread mixes, mead. Time for me to reorder!
October 24, 2011 at 11:29 am
You should do custom candles with names carved in them. Like for couples who just got married. Or maybe carve a poem into the candle or something.

Hi guys! I’d love to see honey beauty products, like soap and lotions, and any delicious smelling things! Thanks!
October 24, 2011 at 11:40 am
I love reading your posts! I second (or third) the idea for honey infused lip balm, especially with the cold weather fast approaching!
October 24, 2011 at 12:06 pm
Definitely the children’s book. My little dude loves bees, and learning something new about them makes his day. 🙂 I also think you should revisit the idea of chap sticks. I remember back when you made up a bunch.
October 24, 2011 at 1:01 pm
Lip balm and soap for sure. Congrats on the Dave’s addition.
October 24, 2011 at 1:13 pm
I love beeswax cosmetics, so soaps, chapsticks, hand or face creams etc. sound good 🙂
October 24, 2011 at 1:19 pm
Court!!
You are so great. I can’t get enough of your blog, your writing captures me and makes me want more…so I’d say a book! Tinted honey lip balms and glosses are always hard to not want to buy. Hope you all are great…give maggie rose a kiss for me!
October 24, 2011 at 1:36 pm
Howdy friends, hope all is well. You’re website looks great.
October 24, 2011 at 8:41 pm
Thanks Allen!
October 24, 2011 at 1:39 pm
love the idea of adding children’s book on bees!! precious. chapstick would be fab too…always can use a tube of that. lotions too maybe? or scented candles (not sure if that’s possible) in glass jars?
October 24, 2011 at 1:51 pm
CHAPSTICK! And I love the rock candy idea, Yum!
October 24, 2011 at 2:24 pm
I love the idea of children’s books about bees! Fantastic! Also love chapstick and the little tiny jars of honey, they are easy to mail to friends and family!! Oh, and the beeswax is amazing!! You go girl! What an amazin’ Mama!
October 24, 2011 at 2:46 pm
Adele and all of the 22 other suggestions really covered a wonderful assortment of goodies to present to your customers! I love all the ideas! And super congrats on your honey at Famous Dave’s!
October 24, 2011 at 2:47 pm
I too agree with those who said candy. Something that’s really yummy like your honey,,,not the fake honey candy 😦 Local pollen?
Congrats on getting your products in to Daves!!! And cant wait to see the new candles and ornaments!!
October 24, 2011 at 4:10 pm
I’m loving all these ideas! Definitely the children’s books starring your family, and furry and buzzy friends! I was thinking some children’s Glacier County Honey Onesies (how do you spell that?), and little t-shirts to go with the books along with a buzzy stuffed friend. (As if you don’t have enough to do!)
October 24, 2011 at 4:25 pm
Love the chapstick idea, and those little honey sticks like straws filled with delicious honey (you may already have these). Pair the honey sticks with a Glacier County Honey mug and some local lemon tea. Yum!
October 24, 2011 at 5:12 pm
I think the children’s book is a great idea! You could actually help children understand that bees are an important part of nature and not something to be squashed, poisoned, or run away from.
October 24, 2011 at 5:29 pm
Beeswax lip balm.-I was such a fan of Burt’s until they became over marketed. I LOVE the idea of a children’s book about bees. Kids need to learn so very much about the importance of bees in our world. That they are something to cherish not be terrified of or kill. By the way-your baby girl ROCKS!
October 24, 2011 at 5:30 pm
Courts! Of course a book! I always knew you would be an author ..do it! Love you!

GCHC Bee Calendar, photos, bee facts, trivia…..
October 24, 2011 at 7:48 pm
I am guessing a honey ale is out so I vote for dark chocolate dipped honey brittle. Hard candy would be great too. Looking forward to trying the honey comb.
October 25, 2011 at 12:09 pm
Dark chocolate anything gets my vote!
October 24, 2011 at 9:25 pm
Was glad to have worked for your dad and was given a sample of your guys honey…….yum yum!
October 24, 2011 at 10:54 pm
Courtney – How about Beeswax Soap and Beeswax candles shaped like Chief Mountain in honor of our Buddy LB! (Make sure you watch “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” first to get some sculpting ideas from Richard Dreyfus).
October 24, 2011 at 11:10 pm
Lotions/creams and lip stuff…I’m crazy about beeswax lip stuff! Also…congrats on the Famous Dave’s deal! I’m so excited I can get your honey in Missoula now!

October 25, 2011 at 5:48 am
i know I missed the time deadline but I woke up this morning and thought, notecards! Pictures of the supers, almond fields, warehome. I am sure you have plenty of pictures and wouldn’t be a huge project to undertake. Anyway just a thought 🙂
