Today, the day after Thanksgiving, we are thankful for the internet, that allows us to be connected to the non-Babb world. That was not the case yesterday, hence the lateness of this post. But it’s always my favorite one of the year, and tardy or no, here’s what Glacier County Honey Co. is thankful for in 2013.
Our healthy bees, of course.
IVIG: intravenous immunoglobulin
Beautiful babies born as a result of amazing human achievement in science, specifically IVIG and prednisone therapy for NAIT (neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia).
First introductions.
Three generations.
John Deere tractors. Georgia peanuts, peaches, and pecans. Not to mention Cotton.
July. And all of summer.
Loving Dads, Great-Grandmas, and Grandmas.
Grandfathers willing to share even homemade peach icey-cream.
Aunts.
Business partners, friends, and mentors.
Adoring godmothers and uncles.
Damn good dawgs.
Risk taking. It feels good.
Being in small business, the Made in Montana program and Moms/Nans willing to work for beeswax candles.
Ham biscuits and other culinary delights from Dixie.
Cousins.
Wild thangs in our backyard national park.
Wild thangs in our actual backyard.
Pollen.
The many, many nurses who touched our lives in 2013. We salute y’all.
Hiking.
Girlfriends.
Life in a small town.
Friends willing to travel to that beloved small town.
Introducing our children to beekeeping.
Reading.
First snow.
First smiles.
First friends.
Family. ‘Nuff said.
We are thankful for your friendship, your mentorship, your business, and your love, in whatever capacity we know you.
May you have much to be thankful for as 2013 winds down.

I saw your dad (and hence your brothers) in Maggie’s happy face in the first snow picture. I had not seen it before but it hit me loud and clear there. Wonderful memories of your year.

Love it, Patrice! I see my dad and my grandma Ivey in her eyes, for sure. Howard looks just like San, to me. Happy Thanksgiving!
